New Oxford Distribution Centre for AWBS

At AWBS we’re delighted to announce we’ve acquired a new building in Eynsham, near Witney in Oxfordshire. The warehouse unit boasts 10,907 sq ft of dry storage, within a large yard, totalling 1.43 acres! This site will become our main distribution centre; with the vast expanse of space meaning we can now hold even more of our products in stock for direct delivery!

Large stocks of building and landscaping products

We pride ourselves on the large amounts of stock we hold, so our customers can receive their building and landscaping products quickly, with free local delivery from our Oxford, Yarnton and Swindon branches. However, some of our less frequently required items must be ordered, but with our new large distribution centre in Eynsham, we can keep even more of our extensive range of landscaping supplies and building supplies in stock, meaning delivery lead times will be greatly reduced. 

Once the building is up and running, we’ll no longer be delivering from our Oxford and Yarnton branches, but from the Eynsham centre instead – this will make our Oxford and Yarnton branches more customer friendly, with less delivery traffic coming in and out. 

Two phase development for AWBS

Acquiring this new building near Witney is phase one of a two-phase development for AWBS. Our new large warehouse will become our main distribution centre for the company, which is scheduled to be completed and operational by the end of this year. During phase two, which will happen in 2020, we’ll be having new offices built at the site, so it will become the AWBS group’s new headquarters.

Adrian White, MD and Owner of AWBS Building and landscaping supplies, says of the new development: “We’re pleased to announce the acquisition of the old Kinloch yard and warehouse in Eynsham. This will be our head office and distribution centre, which will take AWBS to new levels. It will allow Yarnton and South Hinksey to become more customer friendly, concentrating purely on sales, and will allow our transport and deliveries to become even more efficient, as well as giving us a better base to run the whole business.”
